Terms of use

Last updated 28 October 2026

The short version: your memories are yours, be kind, and we'll look after them as well as we can.

Your memories are yours

You own everything you add to KOTI. You give us permission only to store it, show it to the people in your family and make the copies needed to run the service. Only add things you have the right to share.

Your family

Whoever starts a family decides who is invited. People who can add memories can also edit or remove them, and invite others. Please only invite people your family trusts.

Subscriptions

KOTI is a subscription, bought through the App Store. One subscription covers the whole family. New families get a free month; after that it renews each year unless you cancel in your iPhone's Settings at least a day before. Apple handles payments and refunds under its own terms.

If a subscription ends, KOTI becomes read-only: you can still see and download everything, and we'll write to you before anything is deleted.

Fair use

There's no storage limit for normal family use. We may get in touch if a family stores far more than usual (over about 100 GB).

Things not to do

Don't use KOTI for anything illegal, to harm anyone, or to store things that aren't family memories. We may close accounts that do.

Looking after your memories

We back KOTI up and work hard to keep it running, but no service is perfect, so we can't promise it will never be unavailable. We recommend downloading a copy of everything now and then (Settings, then Download everything).

Contact
